The problem in working with a phenominal photographer is you have to just get out the way. I tried my hardest to sneak in some compelling design (and I think I got away with it!). Photographer Ty Cole has been documenting Brutalist architecture and, following a venture to London, wanted to put a collection together in print. He wanted to depict them in bright, colorful environments—avoiding the usual, depressing Brutalist photography tropes. I was happy to jump in and construct a bright, cheery home for them.
